redlogix is a software house that focuses on the development of custom software solutions for technical and industrial applications. We use a cross-disciplinary approach to offer our clients the entire spectrum of professional software engineering services.
The company was founded in April 1996 on the grounds of the German Aerospace Center DLR in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich, with the name 4D Engineering GmbH.
In July 2000, a second location was established in Bayreuth. In 2005 this location was certified to be in conformance with ISO 9001:2000 for the first time.
In order to circumvent a conflict concerning the trademark 4D, the company was renamed to redlogix Software & System Engineering GmbH in October 2013. At the same time the company's headquarters moved from Oberpfaffenhofen to its current office in Gilching, in order to meet the company's office size requirements.
The vision of our founders was to contribute to the progress in key technologies by providing qualified and high-class development services for 3D systems and real-time software in technical and scientific areas. This approach also motivated the company's founding name 4D Engineering: 3D (systems) + (real-)time = 4D.
Today our company focuses on software development for technical applications, which often means we are dealing with software development for embedded systems with realtime requirements. The name redlogix represents our current business very well: red is an acronym for realtime embedded development.
The company's corporate policy is specifically dedicated to provide consistent high-qualitiy services for our customers. In order to substantiate this goal, we maintain a process oriented quality management system according to ISO 9001, which was certified and examined by TÜV Rheinland.
The company is owned by Thomas Ebert and Matthias Bauer, who are also the company's managing directors.
With a total of about 20 employees, an average yearly turnover of slightly over 2 million € was earned during the last three fiscal years.
redlogix has been operating at a profit since the company was founded. The company is equity financed, self-supporting and self-determined.
We are pursuing the strategy of an organic growth at a healthy rate. We do not subscribe to the wide-spread doctrine of a growth at all costs. Our aim is a stable stock of employees and we are anything but a hire-and-fire company. This is how we develop our engineering capacity.
Our main office is located in Gilching, near Munich, not far from the German Center for Aerospace (DLR), where the company was founded. We also operate a development office in Bayreuth, in the catchment area of the Automation Valley (greater area Nuremberg).
